Yeasayer
Odd Blood
2010 sophomore album from the Brooklyn-based Indie Rockers.
Yeasayer released their first album in 2007 and toured with sold out shows around the world. Now, Odd Blood is shaping up to be a highly successful record for the three piece.
The album spans the musical spectrum, blending the twisted, ambient rhythms and global sound of their debut release with forceful ambitious electronics and hook-laden playful Pop.

Tindersticks
Falling Down a Mountain
Gorgeously loose and supple, the album reveals a newly colorful, textured, dynamic and, at times, even exuberant musical personality for the band that broadens the album’s diversity.
Of course, the album remains tinged by the band’s unique brand of ‘Northern Soul’ and ‘bubbling cauldron’ approach to sonics anchored by leader Stuart Staples’ inimitably intimate, deadpan voice that marked some of their most compelling earlier work.
The overall result is a magnificent updating of the Tindersticks canon.

Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra
Kollaps Tradixionales
With Godspeed You! Black Emperor seemingly no more, or at least missing presumed lost, Silver Mt Zion are now the main outlet for former GYBE main man Efrim Menuck.
Kollaps Tradixionales is the band’s sixth album, and the first under this variation of their name. It’s also the first recorded outing of this particular line up, with the band having had something of a re-staffing over the last year or two.

Peter Gabriel
Scratch My Back
Limited two CD edition includes a bonus CD that contains four bonus tracks: ‘The Book Of Love’ (Remix), ‘My Body Is A Cage’ (Oxford London Temple Version), ‘Waterloo Sunset’ (Oxford London Temple Version) and ‘Heroes’ (Wildebeest Mix).
2010 album from the Rock icon, a collection of beautifully performed cover versions. Gabriel describes this as a very personal record with 12 songs performed only with orchestral instruments and voice.
He made the choice not to include guitar or drums.
The album’s richly diverse sounds include the sparse romance of Lou Reed’s ‘The Power of the Heart’, the powerful musical journey of Elbow’s ‘Mirrorball’ and an epic arrangement of Arcade Fire’s ‘My Body Is A Cage.’
