New Pornographers - Together

New Pornographers

Together

The fifth album from Canadian-US collective The New Pornographers, featuring Neko Case and Destroyer’s Dan Bejar, in addition to bandleader and chief songwriter A.C. Newman.

Playing to all the New Pornographers strengths, Together combines the freewheeling, glammy spirit of their debut Mass Romantic with the very personal, emotional songwriting of their most recent material.

As a result, it’s an album that aims to please, as exciting for the New Pornographers obsessive as for casual new listeners.

Whitesnake - S/T

Whitesnake

S/T

Deluxe CD/DVD edition of the British Hard Rock band’s 1987 hit album including bonus live tracks plus a DVD containing videos and live performances.

British vocalist extraordinaire David Coverdale paid his dues early on with Deep Purple before setting a new course with the group he has led since the late ‘70s.

Though the band released several successful albums prior to this, none matched the almost debut quality or the impact that this hit-driven, melodic-yet-heavy-rockin’ release attained. Powered by the energetic #1 single ‘Here I Go Again’ and the soulful ballad ‘Is This Love,’ which reached #2, fans of Whitesnake embraced the album with open arms as it went on to sell over 6 million copies to date in the U.S. alone.

Led by revolutionary change agent and provocateur Eugene Hutz, Gogol Bordello, a nine-piece juggernaut of gypsy rebel soul, has become an international force to be reckoned with.

Hole - Nobody’s Daughter

Hole

Nobody’s Daughter

“This record is about greed, vengeance and feminism,” says Courtney Love of the ragged rock songs on her first LP in six years - and the first she’ll release with a new incarnation of Hole.

Writing began in 2005, while Love was strumming raw folk tunes on an acoustic during a rehab stint.

But as the songs developed - with help from producer Michael Beinhorn, Billy Corgan and Linda Perry - Love says, “S**t got darker, I got meaner, and the tracks got hard and big.”

Asia - Omega

Asia

Omega

2010 album from the Prog Rock supergroup featuring all four original members: John Wetton (King Crimson/UK), Steve Howe (Yes), Carl Palmer (ELP) and Geoffrey Downes (The Buggles).

While the band was an enormous success when they debuted in 1982, the original quartet fractured and Howe left in 1984.

It wasn’t until 2006 that the original foursome reconvened for a tour and then a new studio album in 2008.

Two years on from that album, Omega finds all four members at a new creative peak. Features 12 tracks including ‘Finger On The Trigger’, ‘I Believe’, ‘Holy War’ and more.
