Asia - Omega

Asia

Omega

2010 album from the Prog Rock supergroup featuring all four original members: John Wetton (King Crimson/UK), Steve Howe (Yes), Carl Palmer (ELP) and Geoffrey Downes (The Buggles).

While the band was an enormous success when they debuted in 1982, the original quartet fractured and Howe left in 1984.

It wasn’t until 2006 that the original foursome reconvened for a tour and then a new studio album in 2008.

Two years on from that album, Omega finds all four members at a new creative peak. Features 12 tracks including ‘Finger On The Trigger’, ‘I Believe’, ‘Holy War’ and more.

Steppin’ Through An Empty Time

The Psychic Circle label presents the fifth volume in the Fairytales Can Come True series—another 20 slices of British & European pop psych confection.

Some names may be familiar, others may not.

Hopefully, you’ll find some new aural thrills within as you groove to an Irish folk band gone decidedly trippy, an Italian-only release from a Bournemouth-based soul band, a lilting number from the son of a world famous painter, a band from Harrow who became Italy’s top psych outfit, and the singer of The Cheynes going psychedelically solo.

Come cats, hesitate a while at the barbecue, smile sweetly and keep it cool! Compiled by legendary psych musician and Psychic Circle label-head, Nick Saloman (The Bevis Frond), featuring artists Sleepy, Francis Lai, Mec Op Singers, Rokes, Pattersons, Dorian & The Mackensies, Love Affair, Katch 22, Spacetrack, Dave Anthony’s Moods, Rifkin, Crown’s Clan, David McNeil, Merseys, Sound Network, Malcolm Holland, Rattles, Wishful Thinking, Keith Field, and Montanas.

Hawkwind - At the BBC 1972

Hawkwind

At the BBC 1972

2010 two CD collection from the British Space Rock legends.

Whilst the bulk of this release is made up of a live set recorded for the BBC In Concert program, it opens with a previously unreleased session recorded for Johnnie Walker featuring a shortened version of the Doremi Fasol Latido album classic ‘Brainstorm’ and a version of the hit single ‘Silver Machine’, featuring Lemmy on vocals as per the single.

The In Concert itself, a hypnotic continuous performance, is presented in both mono and stereo versions. The mono version was previously released by Windsong on CD in 1991 and has been remastered and re-indexed to include all of the pieces originally performed, and the concert itself in its entirety.

The stereo version has long been in the domain of the bootleggers as an off-air recording known the as “Broadcast” version. This mix was in fact distributed by the BBC for broadcast internationally.

Peter Hammill - In The Passionkirche

Peter Hammill

In The Passionkirche

In 1991 Peter Hammill released the album Fall Of The House Of Usher.

The album has never been performed live in its entirety but Hammill performed an edited suite of songs from the album during solo concerts in 1991 and 1992.

One such concert took place at The Passionkirche in Berlin in April 1992 and this DVD captures that performance.

Hammill also performs a number of songs from his solo career drawing on material from previous albums including “The Future Now,” “I Will Find You,” “Patient,” as well as the Van Der Graaf Generator song “My Room.”

Ramases - Glass Top Coffin

Ramases

Glass Top Coffin

Digitally remastered edition of this 1975 album from Ramases, the duo consisting of Ramases (Martin Raphael) and his wife Sel.

They first came to prominence with the release of the album Space Hymns in 1971.

The Glass Top Coffin project took several years to write, and Ramases’ vision of an inter-galactic concept finally appeared in an elaborate sleeve.
