The spectrum of musical and emotional textures conceived and created by Rodriguez-Lopez on Noctourniquet ranges from the opening bombast of “The Whip Hand” to the menacing crawl of “The Malkin Jewel” punctuated throughout by hypnotic melodies and borderline electro-ambient washes, most notably in the epic “In Absentia. ”

The bold diversity of the new material combined with Rodriguez-Lopez’s assured producer’s hand guiding The Mars Volta’s most confident and refined performances to date make Noctourniquet an early contender for this year’s most challenging and rewarding listen.

Discs 1&2 are the newly remastered version of the original album.

3&4 are a newly remastered version of the live CD from the original Wall tour ’ Is There Anybody Out There’.
The sound quality of this is much improved over the initial release !

5&6 are demos by Waters, Gilmour and the band.  Fascinating insight into the evolution of the album as some tracks
have different lyrics early on.

7 is a DVD featuring brief performance footage, the Brick in the Wall music video, an interview with influential The Wall artist Gerald Scarfe and Behind the Wall, an in-depth documentary about The Wall tour.
