Richard Buckner
Our Blood
Our Blood is Richard Buckner’s first recording of all new material since 2006’s Meadow.
They delay had nothing to do with creative poverty.
There were numerous personal trials that got in the way. These included being briefly detained and rigorously questioned by police about a murder he didn’t commit, relocation, retracking in a new location only to have a laptop with all his mixes stolen.
Buckner soldiered on, and the end result reflects these struggles and others in these nine new songs.

Jolie Holland
Pint Of Blood
For her fourth studio record Pint Of Blood, Jolie Holland loosely credits classic influences ranging from Neil Young to The Velvet Underground to The Rolling Stones. But it’s the sound of Lucinda Williams that emerges the most on this record, as she similarly conveys a sense of raw emotion striking the deepest of chords.

My Morning Jacket
Circuital
Although recorded after a brief hiatus, during which Carl Broemel released a solo album and Jim James co-formed Monsters of Folk, Circuital feels like a close cousin to Evil Urges and Z, retaining both albums’ eclectic pop sound while presenting a more concise track list than its predecessors.
The band worked on the album in Kentucky, turning a local church’s gymnasium into a makeshift studio and capturing the initial tracks live on 24-track tape.
