Mutemath
Odd Soul
Odd Soul came together over the course of six months, during which the members of Mutemath locked themselves down at leader Paul Meany’s home studio in New Orleans and didn’t emerge until they were ready to play it for others. “The idea of complete isolation was the only thing that appealed to us. No camera guys, no producers, no engineers, no record label people, no management. No one would hear or comment on what we were doing until we were done,” Meany says. “We didn’t want to make blurry music. We set out to record something that was unapologetically us.”

John Prine
Singing Mailman Delivers

Disc Two is a live set from November 1970—featuring versions of many of the same songs—recorded during John’s residency at Chicago’s Fifth Peg.

Mount Wittenberg Orca
Mount Wittenberg Orca was inspired by events on Mt. Wittenberg in Nor Cal. It pushes Longstreth’s obsession with vocal harmony that figured huge on Bitte Orca. This seven-song, twenty-one minute collection is the first music the band recorded after Bitte Orca, and it feels more like a small album than an EP. It is also their most staggering collaboration yet — with the Icelandic artist Björk.

Sing In My Meadow
Sing In My Meadow is a collection of songs recorded over a four day period that the band’s Michael Timmins describes as ‘an album that references an aspect of our live performances that we don’t dig into very much in our studio recordings. Iced Earth
Dystopia
Limited digipak edition includes three bonus tracks and sticker.
While not a concept album, founder Jon Schaffer admits there are unifying themes to several of the songs.
In much the same way Horror Show (the band’s tribute to classic characters from literature and movies) was born, band leader John Schaffer said his interest in dystopian themes in music and movies led him to try his hand at that genre as well. The end result is Iced Earth meets the nightmarish offspring of Brave New World and Blade Runner.

Jane's Addiction
The Great Escape Artist
Spun through a kaleidoscope of tightly wound riffs, hypnotic harmonies, booming beats, and an unmistakable howl, the record announces the beginning of the next chapter for the alternative rock torchbearers.
Writing began in 2010 and by early 2011 the band entered a Los Angeles studio with producer Rich Costey, who introduced Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins to TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek with the hopes of getting him involved somehow.
After a couple of lab sessions, the chemistry was obvious. Sitek stepped into the role of songwriter and bass player for the album with Navarro, and touring bassist Chris Chaney, also sharing four-string duties.
